cater to: to provide and serve food and drinks at a party meeting etc, usually as a business

(Example) This is the biggest event we've ever catered for.

 

elude: (1) to escape from someone or something, especially by tricking them (synonym) avoid (2) if a fact or the answer to a problem eludes you, you cannot remember or solve it (synonym) escape

(Example) - He eluded his pursuers by escaping into a river.

- She took the exam again, but again success eluded her.

- The exact terminology eludes me for the moment.

 

gratification: gratify: (1) to make someone feel pleased and satisfied (2) to satisfy a desire, need, etc

(Phrase) be gratified to see/ hear/ learn etc

(Example) - He was gratified by Lucy's response.

- John was gratified to see the improvement in his mother's health.

- She did not propose to gratify Gloria's curiosity any further.

 

recourse: something that you do to achieve something or deal with a situation, or the act of doing it

(Example) - We may conclude that he never had recourse to this simple experiment.

- a way of solving disputes without recourse to courts of law

- Surgery may be the only recourse

 

cultivation: (1) the preparation and use of land for growing crops

(2) the planting and growing of plants and crops

(3) the deliberate development of a particular quality or skill

(Example) - soil cultivation - these fields have been under cultivation (= used for growing crops) for years.

- the cultivation of tobacco - Terraces for rice cultivation covered the hillsides.

 

replenish: to put new supplies into something, or to fill something again

(Example) More vaccines are needed to replenish our stocks.
